Some members of the Team USA men’s hockey team were heading to Washington on Tuesday to attend President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address after a wild party in Miami to celebrate their gold medal win in the 2026 Olympics.
A U.S. Air Force plane left Miami International Airport Tuesday morning carrying team members who were heading to D.C.

Photos posted on social media shows the players boarding the plane, many with their gold medals around their necks.
The team arrived in Miami from Italy on Monday after they had to be re-routed away from New York due to the winter weather farther up the East Coast.
After a brief stop at a Miami Beach hotel, the team partied the night away at Miami’s Club E11even, where some fans paid hundreds of dollars to paty with the team.
“They were giving us shots, it was a good time, the vibes were electric, just proud to be an American, and we were singing, dancing, having a good time,” fan Joe Myerjack said.

“How often do you get to party with the full Olympic team? This is their first championship in 46 years, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I’m very excited,” another fan said.
Right in the middle of it all was Florida Panthers star Matthew Tkachuk, who’s used to partying in Miami after back-to-back Stanley Cup championships.

“I’m feeling great, I’m super excited,” Tkachuk said Tuesday morning as he left the team hotel. “We’re back to reality tomorrow, so one more day, take advantage of it, have some fun and make some memories.”
