PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — Water regulations are coming to St. Lucie West.

According to the St. Lucie West Services District, a lack of rainfall and dry conditions have led the community to implement additional water restrictions.

The revised schedule includes more conservation days while still allowing customers one day within their assigned two-day watering window to run and maintain their irrigation system, the St. Lucie West Services District said.

Residents are typically allowed to irrigate twice per week unless dry conditions require water restrictions. When no restrictions are in place, SLWSD irrigation pumps operate from 9:30 a.m. Monday until 9:30 a.m. Friday.
