PINELLAS PARK, FL — A Pinellas Park woman was arrested Monday for stabbing her daughter’s boyfriend and unintentionally injuring her daughter, according to multiple reports.

When Pinellas Park police officers responded to a home in the 6200 block of 108th Avenue N. around 4:30 p.m., they found two victims with various stab wounds and cuts, WFLA said.

Investigators learned that Sandra Kegley, 54, tried to stab her daughter’s boyfriend, 23-year-old Eric Smith, WTSP reported.

Her daughter, 25-year-old Kyrsten Bleattler, was also injured during the attack when she stepped in and tried to stop her mother, Fox 13 said.

Bleattler and Smith were brought to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Kegley was charged with first-degree attempted murder and second-degree aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, both felonies, Pinellas County court records show.

She remained in custody at the Pinellas County Jail as of Tuesday morning.

Detectives are investigating the motive of the attack.
