  • October 23, 2025

ORLANDO, Fla. – An alligator was discovered at an Orlando apartment complex on Tuesday night, sparking a response by officers, according to the police department.

In a release, police said they were called to Lake Debra Drive over a “dangerous animal.”

But upon arrival, officers found a 5-foot-6-inch alligator in the hallway of the complex.

Video released by the police department shows the officers capturing the alligator and releasing it back into Lake Mann.

“No officers or the alligator were injured,” the release reads. “This incident is a reminder that our officers never know what they’ll encounter on a call, but they are always prepared to get the job done.”

The full video of the encounter can be found at the top of this story.
