‘Tis the season for outdoor foodie festivals, including one at SeaWorld Orlando that’s rockin’ some new offering for regulars, as well as a stacked concert series.

1. “We did 15 tastings to accomplish ‘Seven Seas’,” Chef Frank Walason told us.  Walason, who is SeaWorld Orlando’s executive sous chef, took us backstage before the fest’s opening day. Chef is fueling a record-breaking 29 food huts at this year’s Festival, featuring nearly 200 dishes.

2. Brand new this year are rotating menus, meaning your favorite hut might surprise you on your next visit. “It’s totally different!”

3. The menu is massive, from Italian and Brazilian, to the new Lucky Cat hot spot. The food items are transported from the backstage kitchens to the front-of-house huts, where the presentation is completed by team specialists.

4. The Seven Seas concerts are a huge draw, like Gene Simmons from KISS this Saturday, and later, Trace Adkins, Boyz II Men – and many more generational faves.

5. The Seven Seas Food Festival runs through May 17. Access to the event and concerts is included with regular park admission.
