A woman is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol with three children under 18- years old in the car, the Cape Coral Police Department said on Wednesday.>>Video above: Headlines for February 25, 2026According to CCPD, officers received a call from Tamica Sherri Perrin’s 13-year-old child stating that Perrin was intoxicated while driving with her children in the vehicle. The 13-year-old told reportedly told officers that they were arguing with Perrin about impaired driving before Perrin dropped them off and drove away with her other two children, both under 10-years-old, still in the car. They added that before they were dropped off the vehicle was “swerving all over the road.”As officers were responding, they say, they saw a 2004 Ford Expedition that the 13-year-old identified as the vehicle Perrin was driving.Officers say they then conducted a traffic stop, they said that when they stopped her they smelled alcohol on her breath. Field sobriety tests showed other signs of impairment, they add. Perrin was arrested after the tests and her refusal to submit to breathalyzer testing. According to CCPD, officers received a call from Tamica Sherri Perrin’s 13-year-old child stating that Perrin was intoxicated while driving with her children in the vehicle.
The 13-year-old told reportedly told officers that they were arguing with Perrin about impaired driving before Perrin dropped them off and drove away with her other two children, both under 10-years-old, still in the car.
