A two-story penthouse in the forthcoming Roche Bobois St. Pete Tower has sold for $13.2 million, according to an announcement from the developer. The 4,840-square-foot property brought in $2,727 per square foot, a new record for Tampa Bay condos.
Construction on the 29-story building has not started yet. But once complete, the property at the corner of 4th Street S and 4th Avenue S will include 164 residences, more than 4,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and restaurant space and a 5,000-square-foot public arts plaza.
The penthouse will feature 29-foot high ceilings and a nearly 1,800 square foot outdoor balcony.
Amenities will include a pool, a glass-edge jacuzzi overlooking the city, outdoor kitchen and grill areas, a fireside lounge, a fitness center, a spa with aquatic therapy, a sauna and a cold plunge, a pet park and a pet salon.
Units start at $544,500 for a studio.
The project is a collaboration between Clearwater-based Valor Real Estate Development and French furniture maker Roche Bobois. It will be the first designer-branded condo in the Tampa Bay area.
Moises Agami CEO of Valor Real Estate Development said the penthouse sale demonstrates confidence in the project.
“We are raising the bar in Tampa Bay. From the architecture to the inclusion of art, every detail is being designed to create a one-of-a-kind living experience,” he said in a statement.
Tthere are still severalcentury-old buildings on the property. But those will be demolished in the coming weeks. Construction is expected to begin this summer.
