Just last week, we reported that the refurbishment of Stardust Racers at Epic Universe was being extended by a week. However, the closure will now be even longer—heading into the month of March.
Stardust Racers Refurbishment Extended Again

While Stardust Racers was originally set to reopen on February 22, then February 28 after last week’s update, it will now remain closed through March 14. At this time, the reason for the extension has not been made public by Universal.
In January, Stardust Racers was closed for several days after the trains “valleyed” during testing and became stuck due to unusually high winds. A crane was brought in to recover the trains from their stuck positions on the track. The ride was closed for three days after the incident.
Located in Celestial Park, Stardust Racers is the signature roller coaster of Epic Universe and Universal’s first dueling coaster since Dragon Challenge (formerly Dueling Dragons), which closed in 2017 at Islands of Adventure. It was replaced by Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.
Epic Universe has been open for almost a year but is still not operating at full capacity.
