A man who authorities say randomly killed three tourists in Florida, including one from Michigan, was indicted by a grand jury on Thursday.

The three tourists, Douglas Kraft, from Holland, MI, Robert Kraft, from Columbus, OH, and James Puchan, from Galena, OH, were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds in the front yard of an Airbnb in Kissimmee, Florida, on Jan. 19.

The men were visiting the area for a car show. Ahmad Bojeh was being held on a second-degree murder charge. Florida State Attorney General Monique Worrell said they were just holding charges while her office waited for the grand jury to meet. Worrell said that is a process laid out in Florida state law.

On Thursday, the grand jury indicted Bojeh on three counts of first-degree murder.

Bojeh was previously charged with attempted murder in a different incident. However, he was found not guilty by reason of insanity. He was then released conditionally and ordered to live at home, take medication and attend psychiatric appointments.

Worrell said records show Bojeh was complying with those orders until the cost of his medication skyrocketed.

On Thursday, Worrell said a prosecutor will now consider whether to turn the case over to a review panel to consider the death penalty. Bojeh is scheduled for a competency hearing in April to determine whether he is fit to stand trial.
