South Florida’s rooftop scene just got an upgrade! Perched on the 17th floor of Pier Sixty-Six’s spire-crowned tower in Fort Lauderdale is Pier Top, the only revolving cocktail lounge in the region.
This icon in the sky was closed for several years amid a massive, billion-dollar property-wide renovation. It originally debuted in 1965, with the tower’s “66” theme paying homage to the Phillips 66 petroleum company that originally built the marina, becoming a famous spot for celebrations, romantic evenings and taking in the stunning skyline. The newly revamped space sports a sophisticated, retro-glamorous style and an elevated menu while maintaining its signature sights.
Pier Top
Pier Top offers diners a cinematic backdrop of the city and the turquoise waters of the Intracoastal Waterway and Port Everglades as it rotates a full 360 degrees, completing a full revolution every 66 minutes.
As for the updated menu, guests can experience a soaring selection of high-end libations and bites, such as their champagne-and-caviar service, bluefin tuna tartare with taro chips and elevated lobster rolls with oil from the shells in the mayonnaise. Alongside classics and an extensive wine list, there’s innovative cocktails like “Tears of a Mermaid” and “Tango on Top” that are enough to warrant a trip here if you’re looking to take in the skyline with a tasty drink in hand.
