Michael Hoopes went to the parking garage near Topgolf where he waited for the victim go inside before damaging the tires.
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A Brooksville faces a criminal mischief charge after using a GPS Tag to track a victim and puncture their car tires.Â
Michael Hoopes was arrested after he tracked the victim to Topgolf at Carillon Parkway in St. Petersburg.Â
St. Pete Police say Hoopes, 33, waited in the parking garage for the victim to go inside, then stabbed the tires of their truck.Â
The crime was captured on CCTV footage. Police identified Hoopes by a distinct tattoo on his neck.Â
It is not known what Hoopes’ relationship to the victim is.Â
He was released on $500 bond.
