Manatee release set to take place at Horton Park, Cape Coral

A manatee that recently completed rehabilitation is set to be released back into the wild.

The release will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Horton Park boat ramp in Cape Coral. WINK News will be there and livestream the event.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is hosting it.

Attendees are encouraged to witness the release and celebrate the manatee’s return to its natural habitat.
