A woman has died after she was shot on Sunday at a gas station in Southwest Miami-Dade, deputies said.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at the area of Southwest 268th Street and 127th Avenue after receiving reports of a shooting.

At the Sunoco gas station, deputies found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound, and she was taken to the hospital.

“Despite lifesaving efforts, the adult female victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased,” the sheriff’s office said later Sunday.

Her identity has not been released.

A witness who did not want to be identified said the violence began with an argument between two women.

The witness said the victim was walking to the convenience store when the alleged shooter drove near her, allegedly almost running her over.

An argument broke out that even turned physical, and the witness said she tried to break it up.

“When the lady saw that she was being a little bit aggressive, she took the gun out,” she said. “She shot two shots up in the air and the third one, she shot her.”

The sheriff’s office has not confirmed this information

No arrests have been made as deputies continued to investigate the shooting.
