PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — From speedsters to hit-and-run DUIs, the Port St. Lucie Police Department said it had a busy weekend.
The police department said on Monday that officers made nine arrests, including eight who were suspected of driving under the influence.

“Each of these individuals made a choice that put themselves and others at risk, but they remind us all why safety matters,” PSLPD said in its Facebook post.
Here are the nine arrests that were made over this past weekend:
Heather Somps:
PSLPD said Somps was arrested for a DUI near the intersection of SW Gatlin Boulevard and I-95. Her arrest led to her vehicle being towed, the police department says.

Kenneth Dempsey:
Dempsey was arrested near US 1, police say. He faces a DUI charge and his vehicle was towed as a result.

Robert Luis De Jesus Pagan:
Officers say Pagan wasn’t only driving under the influence. He was also driving at a high rate of speed on I-95. Following his arrest his vehicle towed.

Kevin Wagner:
Wagner was arrested for a DUI near the intersection of SE Walton Road and SE Village Green. The police department said as a result of his arrest his vehicle was towed.

Police say they arrested Keihn near the intersection SE Crosstown and US 1.

Franklin Hurtado:
Near SW Quick Circle and SW Becker Road, officers arrested Hurtado. During his arrest his vehicle was towed.

Terrence Toohey:
The police department says Toohey was caught driving drunk near the intersection of SE Floresta Drive and SE Penn Ave. The vehicle was towed, PSLPD says.

The police department says Hall was arrested for a DUI near the intersection of SW Tradition Parkway and I-95. The vehicle was later towed.
