Traffic alert: Deadly crash shuts down all lanes of I-75 NB in Hillsborough County

Cameras show traffic is heavily backed up as emergency vehicles are at the scene.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla — All lanes on I-75 northbound are shut down in Hillsborough County following a deadly traffic crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol first reported the incident around 6 a.m. Tuesday in the area of I-75, south of Bruce B Downs Boulevard near Thonotosassa.

FHP initally reported the crash involved injuries, but confirmed it was deadly around 6:40 a.m.

Cameras show traffic is heavily backed up as emergency vehicles are at the scene.

Drivers should use alternate routes.
