Fog is expected to create widespread visibility issues near the coast and spread inland, becoming widespread by the Wednesday morning commute.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The First Coast News Weather Team is issuing a Weather Impact Alert from 7 p.m. Tuesday evening until 9 a.m. Wednesday for areas of dense fog.

The onshore flow continues with high dewpoints and warm temperatures over a cold ocean. Expect sea fog that will be hugging the coast most of the day to roll back in from east to west Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, creating tough travel once again from A1A to I-95 and as far west as I-75.

WHEN: 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 through 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 4

IMPACT: Areas of dense fog/sea fog reducing visibility to near zero

NEED: Take it slow on the roads and leave home early to allow yourself extra time to get where you need to go.

A similar Weather Impact Alert was issued for the Tuesday morning commute, and more may be issued this week for fog, as this pattern holds all the way through the weekend.
