After Tuesday’s big money Florida Lottery draw games — Fantasy 5, Jackpot Triple Play, Mega Millions — there were happy winners in South Florida, Central Florida and North Florida.
And the South Florida winner bought the ticket at a location that had a jackpot hit six months ago.
None of those winners nailed the Mega Millions jackpot, which will be at $496 million on Friday.
Tuesday’s Jackpot Triple Play numbers were 2, 8, 26, 33, 40 and 41, the same numbers on a free Quick Pick ticket spit out by the machine at Madison’s Cherry Lake Food Mart, 8113 N. State Rd. 53. That stroke of luck about 15 miles from the Florida-Georgia border was worth $625,000.
Earlier in the day, the 1, 5, 7, 16 and 23 balls popped for the Fantasy 5 midday draw. Those were the choices of players at a Circle K, 320 W. State Rd. 434, in the Orlando suburb of Winter Springs and Fort Lauderdale’s Ideal Food Basket, 2750 Davie Blvd. Each ticket won $50,000.
The fourth consecutive day with a Broward Fantasy 5 winner also was the second hit at Ideal Food Basket. Six months and a day earlier, the winner of a $525,000 Jackpot Triple Play bought the ticket at the grocery store.
