• I’m ticked off at county governments. I see no reason why one fiber-optic company can’t dig up the right of way and then all the other companies pay part of the cost. Then they run their fiber optics down the same tube. The front of my subdivision has been dug up five times by companies laying the same orange tube. Enough.
• I’ve read two articles recently predicting area water shortages in just a few years. It’s bad enough that it takes 20 minutes to travel three miles. It’s time to stop building housing on every patch of ground until we have viable solutions to the problems inherent with unchecked growth.
• I can’t even begin to count the number of times I see every day that someone decides at the last minute to pull into another lane of traffic and block both lanes because they don’t have the foresight to move timely and safely into the next lane. It is also illegal. Meanwhile, 20 cars or more are paying the price because you feel you are so much more important than everyone else. For everyone’s safety, and to escape road rage, drive the extra block or two to make a legal turn. The life you save may be your own or the family in the car with you.
