WIMAUMA, Fla. (WWSB) – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 4-year-old child after the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the manner of death a homicide.
Deputies responded at about 3:30 p.m. Feb. 20 to the 2500 block of Tee Time Road, the sheriff’s office said. When deputies arrived, they found a child suffering from upper body trauma that resulted in death.

“This is a heartbreaking case, and our detectives are working tirelessly to determine the events that led to this tragedy,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said. “We are committed to uncovering the truth and ensuring anyone responsible is held fully accountable.”
The investigation remains active. The sheriff’s office said any updates will be provided by its Public Affairs Office.
