Some Leon County voters could be casting ballots at different locations this election season

  • March 4, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Thousands of Leon County voters could be casting their ballots somewhere else this election season.

The Supervisor of Elections Office announced changes to polling locations this year.

Several polling places across the county will change because of new facilities, ADA compliance issues or a location’s decision not to continue serving as a polling site.

The shape of multiple precinct boundaries in the county are changing as well.

Nearly 500 voters will be added to a new precinct on Tram and Capital Circle.

Orange Avenue and Capital Circle will see a new precinct with around 400 people and two large areas in Northeast Leon County are combining, adding nearly 1,400 voters who will now cast their ballots inside the new Miccosukee Community Center.

The proposed changes are outlined in a Leon County Commission agenda item. That full item, with a list of proposed changes can be read below:

Mark Earley, the Leon County Supervisor of Elections, said the County will work hard to avoid confusion ahead of election day.

“We have a voter guide that we are about to send out here fairly soon. Also, prior to each election, we sent a multi-page pamphlet out to every voter that explains the basics of election law,” Earley said. “It shows where all of the polling places are. It describes early voting and where those locations are, the types of ID you need to bring to the polls. It goes into fairly great detail, I would say.”
