The newest installation of Gulf Coast Gallery – Gulf Coast Village and the North Fort Myers Arts Association (NFMAA)’s series of rotating art exhibits – is set to open on Thursday, March 26, in Cape Coral. Entitled “Eat, Pray, Love,” the exhibit’s debut will feature a meet-and-greet with the exhibit’s featured artists.

“Eat, Pray, Love”will feature a variety of artistic mediums inspired by the exhibit theme, offering pieces that celebrate nourishment, reflection and joy. This installation’s featured artist is Bob Inkenbrandt, Gulf Coast Village’s full-time chaplain. In addition to his role at Gulf Coast Village, Inkenbrandt has a decades-long passion for music and has previously expressed his creativity through music and served as Gulf Coast Village’s music director prior to becoming the community’s chaplain.

In recent years, he has embraced visual art and has shared his artwork at prior installations of Gulf Coast Gallery.

“I used to say to myself, ‘I’ll take up painting when I’m older.’ Three years ago, I turned 71, and I decided it was time to start painting!” said Inkenbrandt. “I had no clue where to start, but I knew whatever I did, the first painting had to be a masterpiece!”

Since November 2024, these rotating exhibits have served as a creative collaboration between the NFMAA and Gulf Coast Village, Cape Coral’s only life plan community. The gallery showcases artwork from members of the NFMAA and Gulf Coast Village’s own resident artists.

The artist meet-and-greet will take place from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 26. Attendees are invited to stroll through the exhibit, enjoy light refreshments and cast their votes for the People’s Choice Award, which will be announced at 3 p.m. Select pieces by local artists will be available for purchase. Following the event, tours of Gulf Coast Village will be available for interested attendees.

Gulf Coast Gallery is located in the elevator lobby at Gulf Coast Village at 1333 Santa Barbara Blvd. in Cape Coral. To RSVP for “Eat, Pray, Love,” call 239-510-8712. The exhibit will be open to the public daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Sunday, May 3.
