GREEN COVE SPRINGS – There were plenty of grunts, thumps and kilts at the Northeast Florida Scottish Highland Games last Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Clay County Fairgrounds, as men and women competed in five traditional Scottish Athletic events. Included in the field of competitors were World Champions Kerry Overfelt of Kentucky in the Scottish Hammer and Danny Webster of Alabama in the Weight Throw. The day-long event also included the Stone Put, Caber and Sheaf Toss.
