It has been announced that Universal Volcano Bay will be closed for maintenance beginning October 26, 2026, with a current planned reopening on or before March 24, 2027. While we are still several months from that 5-month closure, there is already some work happening behind the scenes.

Just beyond the perimeters of the water park, a small area has been under construction for a few weeks now. It appears that this area will be used for additional cabanas and concrete footers have already been poured, indicating a possible addition of two to three more for guest use.

Early construction is also underway for a new parking garage on Universal property just south of Volcano Bay. Currently, the project is mostly dirt work, but some concrete work has begun around the perimeters.
