The HSV to PIE flight is expected to run two times per week.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Huntsville International Airport celebrated the launch of new nonstop service from Huntsville to St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport on Allegiant Air today, providing North Alabama travelers with another convenient and affordable gateway to Tampa Bay.

The HSV-PIE route is flown on Allegiant’s 180-seat Airbus aircraft with three classes of seating available and operates twice weekly on Sundays and Thursdays.

“Our customers love the value and easy access to Florida’s Sun Coast that Allegiant is providing with the addition of this new nonstop to St. Pete/Clearwater,” said Butch Roberts, CEO of Huntsville International Airport. “Florida continues to rank as one of our community’s favorite leisure markets, and with this new nonstop, Allegiant delivers the convenience and affordability our customers have consistently requested.”

The addition of St. Pete/Clearwater expands HSV’s portfolio of leisure destinations and strengthens its commitment to providing a variety of cost-competitive travel options for the Tennessee Valley. Allegiant currently flies nonstop from Huntsville to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Orlando-Sanford (SFB) and will begin additional nonstop service from Huntsville on May 21 to Gulf Shores (GUF).

With today’s launch, Huntsville-area travelers now have a second nonstop option to the Tampa Bay area. Breeze Airways operates service to Tampa International on alternate days, further enhancing connectivity and reinforcing HSV’s role as a key transportation asset for North Alabama.

“Thanks to this investment in our community by Allegiant, we can offer nonstop air service from Huntsville to the places people really want to go and at fare prices that make it possible to fly the whole family,” Roberts said.
