The votes are in for the Cape Coral Breeze’s February Athlete of the Month, and the winner is Oasis High School’s Paige Thomas.
The junior represented the Sharks at the FHSAA 1A State Weightlifting Championships in Lakeland. She placed fifth in the state for the Olympic category and eighth in Traditional for her weight class.
“I am super proud of how I did. I want to thank my coach, teammates and my parents for pushing me to be the best I could be,” Thomas told The Breeze during her nomination week.
