A third attraction has been added to the list of rides that prohibit guests from wearing badge reels.
Badge Reels Prohibited on VelociCoaster

We learned that this new policy at VelociCoaster was rolled out earlier in February and is a safety concern for guests. More specifically, the metal part of the reel is the issue.
Guests are still able to carry the pouch that holds I.D. cards, tickets, and other small items. The exception would be unless the pouch is also made of metal.
Badge reels were already prohibited at The Incredible Hulk Coaster and Stardust Racers, and as one of Universal’s most intense attractions, it makes sense for VelociCoaster to be included as well.
Team members do notify guests of this new policy at the attraction entrance, but the badge reels will set off metal detectors, and guests will be turned around to the lockers to store the item.
Guests must be at least 51″ to ride, and Universal Express Pass is accepted. The single rider line was recently closed. Jurassic World VelociCoaster is the fastest and tallest launch coaster in Florida. At the very start of the ride, you’ll launch 70mph in just 2.4 seconds.
The attraction has won several awards, including USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice: Best New Theme Park Attraction 2021, Best New Rollercoaster of 2020/2021 from Golden Ticket Award, and Best New Attraction of 2021 and Best Rollercoaster of 2021 from Theme Park Insider.
