Fans of “The Mummy” movies rejoice. Some of the cast from the films will be meeting this year at the MegaCon Orlando convention. This is sure to be a hit as not only are “The Mummy” movies extremely loved by their cult following fan base, but so is the Revenge of the Mummy attraction down the street at Universal Studios Florida.

This year, attendees of MegaCon can purchase add-ons to meet their favorite stars from “The Mummy” franchise. Guests include: Brendan Fraser, John Hannah, Patricia Velasquez, and Oded Fehr. It’s worth emphasizing that these are an upcharge on top of your ticket to MegaCon, with separate fees for both autographs and photo ops. The prices vary based on the celebrity you choose to meet. Also on sale for this year’s MegaCon are tickets to an exclusive after hours event at Universal Orlando Resort. This special ticketed event offers unlimited access to the rides across both parks and FanExpo encourages guests to come in their cosplay they attended the event in. MegaCon Orlando is a gathering of geek culture at the Orange County Convention Center on International Drive (about a 15 minute drive from Universal Orlando Resort). The event focuses on comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming in a four-day convention that brings in hundreds of thousands of fans. The event also features celebrity Q&A’s, panels, and other events. It’s almost impossible to put the entire experience into any other word than “mega”!
MegaCon show floor
If you’re attending MegaCon this year, they invite you to dress up as any character from your favorite fandom and peruse art made by likeminded fans. Ultimate and VIP multi-day tickets are sold out, but 4-day passes and single day tickets remain on sale as of now. Thursday operates as as sort of event preview, as the show floor is only open for four hours in the evening. Friday and Saturday show floor hours run from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sunday goes from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
