FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A person was shot Saturday morning in Fort Lauderdale in what police say appears to be a domestic dispute.

Fort Lauderdale police said officers responded Saturday morning to a reports of a shooting in the 2200 block of Northwest 21st Avenue.

They said officers arrived around 7:50 a.m. and found an adult who had been shot. The victim was taken by Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue to Broward Health Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said the incident appears to be domestic in nature and involved known parties. A suspect has been detained.

No other details about the shooting were immediately released.
