In many of the cases, 50 or more tires were left behind at once, creating both an environmental hazard and a costly cleanup.Investigators eventually identified the suspect vehicle as a U‑Haul box truck with Arizona license plates. That discovery helped detectives track down the truck’s rental agreement, which listed 49‑year‑old Jason Guidetti of Palm City as the renter. Detectives made contact with Guidetti and interviewed him as part of the investigation. Following that interview, the sheriff’s office says there was enough evidence to establish probable cause for his arrest.Guidetti is now facing six felony charges and six misdemeanor charges connected to the illegal tire dumping incidents. Palm City man arrested for illegal tire dumping
According to the Sheriff’s Office, detectives with the Environmental Unit began investigating 13 separate tire‑dumping sites between Dec. 21, 2025, and Jan. 23, 2026. In many of the cases, 50 or more tires were left behind at once, creating both an environmental hazard and a costly cleanup.
