Tampa, Fla., March 7, 2026 – The University of South Florida beach volleyball team wrapped up the weekend unbeaten, earning wins over Palm Beach Atlantic, 4-1 and Eckerd 3-2, on Saturday. The Bulls improved to 7-4 on the season.
 
South Florida 4, PBA 1
Kate Stewart and Tereza Lajkebová struck first for the Bulls, earning a straight set win on court five, 21-17, 21-15. PBA captured its only point on court four to tie the game. Morgan Anderson and Abigail Lagemann extended USF’s lead to 2-0, taking a 22-20, 21-15 two-setter at the 3s. Julia Panko and Cornelia Crudu clinched the match for the Bulls in a three-set thriller, 19-21, 21-18,15-11. Zoey Mitchell and Josie Sek closed out the match on court one with another hard-fought three-set match.  
 
 
South Florida 3, Eckerd 2
Against the Tritons, the Bulls completed their perfect 4-0 weekend. PBA jumped out to an early 1-0 lead. Stewart and Lajkebová earned a straight set victory, 21-10, 21-19 to get the bulls on the board. The sailfish battled back, taking a win on court two, but Panko and Crudu would even things up at two a piece after their win on court one. The match would be decided on court three. Ryann Genest and Isabella Almeida had to win a third set to claim the win. The pair battled through a third set thriller to clinch the win, 19-21,21-11, 19-17.
 
 
Note-A-Bulls:


Undefeated Weekend — South Florida finished 4–0 on the weekend, defeating Tampa, Barry, PBA, and Eckerd. 
Clinching Court — Pair three secured the match-deciding point for South Florida in a three-set nail biter vs. Eckerd.
Dominant Weekend — Stewart and Lajkebová had a perfect weekend, finishing 4-0 on the weekend as a pair.  

UP NEXT
South Florida will travel to Conway, S.C. next weekend, Mar.13-14 to compete in the Coastal Carolina Invitational where they will face Morehead State, Coastal Carolina, Salem College, and Tennessee Tech.

The University of South Florida Beach Volleyball program is the newest program in the now 21-team USF Athletics program. South Florida Beach Volleyball joined Conference USA on July 1, 2025. Pri Piantadosi-Lima was named South Florida’s first-ever beach volleyball head coach on June 6, 2023. She also serves as the head coach of USAV Beach and the national team development program and was honored as the 2022 USA Volleyball Female Junior Coach of the Year. Before joining South Florida, Piantadosi-Lima helped launch the Eckerd College program in 2015 as an assistant coach and helped lead the program to its first AVCA national championship and two consecutive NCAA championship podium finishes.
