A crash on Florida’s Turnpike in Broward County overturned an SUV and blocked two left lanes, causing backups.

A crash on Florida’s Turnpike in Broward County is causing traffic delays Friday afternoon.

A mangled black SUV sat overturned near Exit 47 in the northbound lanes.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the two cars that collided are a black 2023 Jeep and a white 2013 Ford. One person was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

According to FL511, the crash occurred on northbound Florida’s Turnpike before mile marker 45. Two left lanes are blocked, and traffic is backed up to Exit 43 at Northwest 57th Avenue.

The two lanes will remain blocked until the cars are towed, FHP said.
