GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Alachua County commissioner Ken Cornell on Tuesday hopes to get an update on animal services. The HR director announced an investigation is underway into conditions at the shelter.

After months of meetings, feedback, and recriminations, the Alachua County School Board on Thursday holds a final vote on new school district zoning boundaries. The plan calls for closing four elementary schools.
