TAMPA, Fla. — Registration is open for the 5K and Stadium Stair Climb Challenge at Raymond James Stadium. The event raises money to support families facing pediatric cancer.
It was founded by a Tampa family after their four-year-old son, Vincent, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Now nine years old, Vincent is in remission.
His family is putting out a call for the community to join the event later this month to help other families going through similar battles.
“If people don’t do the races, not a lot of money goes to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. But it feels good helping other kids with stuff that I went through. Just don’t give up and keep going,” Vincent said.
The event supports research and programs that help children battling cancer and their families.
The 5K and Stadium Stair Climb will be held Saturday, March 28.
