Wide receiver Mike Evans is leaving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the San Francisco 49ers, ending a run with the Bucs that included a Super Bowl title.

2. Final hearing set for Monday ahead of Tampa’s election maps decision
The Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission is expected to make a final decision today on what the city of Tampa’s new election maps will look like.

3. A busy general Election Day across Pinellas, Manatee counties
A wide variety of elections are taking place across the Pinellas Suncoast on tomorrow.

4. Crude oil prices spike as a broadening Iran war threatens both transport routes and production
Oil prices continued to soar today as the Iran war intensified, threatening production and shipping in the Middle East and pummeling financial markets.

5. Justice Department, Live Nation reach settlement over illegal monopoly case
The Justice Department said today that it has tentatively settled its antitrust lawsuit against Ticketmaster and parent company Live Nation Entertainment, striking a deal to ultimately lower ticket prices for consumers and end an illegal monopoly over live events in America.

CLEARWATER TRAFFIC | The city of Clearwater is announcing temporary road closures and detours that will impact traffic patterns in the downtown area, and they will continue tomorrow. The Osceola Parking Garage Project will require a temporary closure of Pierce Street between Fort Harrison Avenue and Osceola Avenue. Detours are in place.

RAYS SPRING TRAINING | The Tampa Bay Rays continue spring training this week, with games tomorrow against the Minnesota Twins in Port Charlotte, on Wednesday against the Atlanta Braves in North Port, and Friday at the Boston Red Sox in Ft. Myers. The team is off Thursday. All three games start at 1:05 p.m.

GAS PRICES LATEST | Florida gas prices are climbing rapidly in response to the conflict in Iran. The state average surged 57 cents per gallon last week, and Sunday’s average of $3.45 was the most expensive daily average since August 2024. Compared to recent benchmarks, Sunday’s state average was: 56 cents more than a week ago, 59 cents more than a month ago, and 35 cents more than this time last year. PLANT CITY VOTER REGISTRATION | Today is the voter registration deadline for the 2026 Plant City Municipal Election. Only registered voters living inside the Plant City boundaries may participate in the election. If you’re already registered to vote in Florida, you can update your name or address any time before voting. If you need to register or make an update, you can do that online at VoteHillsborough.gov/Register or visit an elections office to fill out a paper application.
