The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation would like to thank the entire community for their support of the annual Style Show held on February 14 at Santini Marina Plaza. The breezeway between Leani’s Sportswear and The Islander, Gift Gallery & Boutique was the perfect display area for gift basket raffles, drinks and mingling.
This year, a tent provided shade and comfort for the models who sported men’s, women’s and children’s fashions from both shops and Carrie and Anita were the talented MC’s.
More specifically, this event was made possible by the extremely generous and ongoing support of Alex King, Carrie Smith, owner of Leani’s, and Anita Cereceda, owner of The Islander.
Delicious hors d’oeuvres, including barbecue shrimp, steak kabobs and mini sliders were provided by SOB’s as well as key lime pie. Sylvia at Skye’s created a memorable signature cocktail. Additional thanks to The Whale, SanCap Bank, Lala on the Beach, the Library and all those who generously donated raffle baskets. The generosity of over 150 people buying tickets and raffles resulted in over $16,000 that will be returned to various organizations in need when the Community Foundation distributes funds in May. Every dollar received is returned to organizations striving to improve the overall quality of life on Ft. Myers Beach.
The Community Foundation will be hosting their next fundraiser on April 11th at Margaritaville as Casino Night returns to the island with gaming tables, live music and raffles.
