PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (WINK)—The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office arrested a woman accused of murdering her roommate in Punta Gorda.
Deputies arrested Shannon Rose Giblin, 48, on Monday after initially responding to a person not breathing report at a residence on Gewant Boulevard on Sunday.
Upon arrival, deputies found a man, identified as Paul De Wayne Bradley, 76, deceased and “beyond help.”

Parker Daigle was at a friend’s house Sunday night when his mother told him there was a death investigation happening next door.
“It was very shocking. There’s been nothing like that I’ve ever seen,” said Daigle. “It was just a little bit of tape up outta the house, and then during the night it started to get more serious, more police, news, everybody came.”
According to deputies, Bradley’s vehicle was missing from the driveway. Through investigative measures with the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, they found that his vehicle was driven to Sarasota County.
Law enforcement found Giblin driving the vehicle. She was detained by deputies.
Giblin, who was Bradley’s roommate, was identified as a suspect in the sheriff’s office’s investigation.
Upon interviewing Giblin, Charlotte County deputies reported that she provided a confession to stabbing Bradley following an argument.
After realizing that the victim was beyond help, Giblin then covered Bradley with a tarp and left the scene in his pickup truck.
