Cape Coral City Council, sitting as the South Cape Community Redevelopment Agency Board of Commissioners, is expected to vote on a Breaking Barriers to Business Grant for Zuly Dental Medicine Center, LLC Wednesday.

If approved, CRA Resolution 3-26 would award $50,000 to the LLC.

The Breaking Barriers to Business Program “assists eligible businesses and developers with off-setting certain identifiable costs that might be incurred in order to comply with those requirements of the City of Cape Coral, Land Development Code, Florida Building Code and Florida Fire Prevention Code.”

Zuly Dental is building a new commercial facility at 4636-4640 S.E. 9th Place for a total project investment of $1,855,025. The facility will be approximately 3,790 square feet, with the dental portion occupying approximately 1,940 square feet. The remaining space will be leased to tenants until the practice reaches full capacity.

According to the resolution, “the grant funds awarded to Zuly Dental will serve to assist with costs associated to impact fees, permitting, licensing, special assessment fees, infrastructure design and engineering construction, on-site improvements, in order to bring the property into compliance with all applicable codes, and the installation of specialized dental and medical equipment.”

Other items on the agenda include a code compliance update, CRA maintenance report and CRA project report.

The CRA meeting will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, in City Council Chambers, 1015 Cultural Park Blvd. The meeting is open to the public.
