Deputies with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office rescued a toddler that was locked inside a car on Monday, March 2.

Bodycam footage released by the sheriff’s office shows two deputies responding to River City Marketplace in Jacksonville after the toddler locked themselves inside a car along with the vehicle’s keys.

“The mother immediately called for help, and our officers arrived within five minutes,” the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said in a post on Facebook.

“The toddler had unbuckled himself from his car seat, making it dangerous for the officers to shatter the car window to open the door. Our officers used special tools to pop the door open, returning the toddler to his mother in less than 10 minutes.”
