The RedHawks can finally breathe and play freely. The last month was high-stress and a lot of pressure to finish the regular season perfectly. Now that they have done that, they are in the NCAA Tournament regardless of what happens next and can get back to simply playing basketball.

This game is a great opportunity to come out hot and win a game by more than two points, which is what the final three regular-season games were decided by. Funny enough, UMass nearly picked Miami (Ohio) on the home court, dragging them to an 86-84 game.

Miami (Ohio) should be fresh, crisp, and ready to go in this game. Peter Suder and Brant Byers match up nicely against the UMass guards. The key here will be Almar Atlason against UMAss’ leading scorer, forward Leonardo Bettiol. If he can mitigate the damage there, the RedHawks pick up a win, looking sharper than they have in some time.

Prediction: Miami (Ohio) 88, UMass 74

Best Bet: Miami (Ohio) -7.5
