BASEBALL

Mariner 17, Cape Coral 2 (4 innings): Xavier Muentes racked up five RBI , going 3-for-3 with a double and two runs scored as the Tritons (7-6) rolled to victory. Diego Romero Fernandez ripped a three-run homer and Antonio Marino had three RBI. Ryan Kotarski added two RBI. For the Seahawks (6-7) Anthony Oquendo and Anthony Grasso had an RBI each. 

Canterbury 6, Bishop Verot 5 (8 innings): Jayden Salazar had two RBI for the Vikings (9-4). Braylon Sheffield was 3-for-4 with an RBI, and Brody Baxmann also drove in a Bishop Verot run.

SOFTBALL

Oasis 10, Cypress Lake 0 (5 innings): Faith Tilley was 3-for-3, driving in two runs and scoring two as the Sharks (4-6) blanked the Panthers. Sophia Hall doubled twice and had two RBI, while both Nina Curasco and Addison Hicks went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Kyra Cavendar pitched a five-inning shutout, allowing three hits and striking out 15 batters.

LaBelle 3, Mariner 2: With the loss, the Tritons are 4-2.

Bishop Verot 5, Canterbury 0: The sweep lifted the Vikings to 4-3 on the season.

BOYS LACROSSE

Bishop Verot 15, Riverview Sarasota 8: The Vikings have won two in a row after an 0-7 start.
