A 77-year-old St. Pete man was arrested for possession of child and animal sexual abuse materials, investigators announced.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement says agents found an IP address downloading a file containing child sexual abuse material back in October. The location was traced to the home of Gregory Arendt.

On Dec. 19, officials conducted a search warrant at Arendt’s home and took multiple electronic devices that reportedly had multiple images that depicted child sexual abuse and bestiality.

FDLE arrested Arendt on March 3 and took him to the Pinellas County Jail with the assistance of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

He is charged with four counts of possession of child sexual abuse materials and 15 counts of possession of pornographic imagery of sexual contact with an animal.

The Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution is prosecuting the case.
