Among
the noteworthy deals of the past week was MHG Hotels’ acquisition of the Aloft
Fort Lauderdale Airport for $33.25 million.
FORT
LAUDERDALE, Florida — Boca Raton, Florida-based MHG Hotels acquired the 138-key
Aloft Fort Lauderdale Airport from an undisclosed seller for $33.25 million.
The
Marriott-branded hotel opened in late 2023 and is near Fort
Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Port Everglades, Las Olas Boulevard
and the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center.
“This
acquisition supports our continued growth in strong, high-demand markets,” said
Sanjay Patel, president and CEO of MHG Hotels. “South Florida remains an
important hospitality destination, and we are excited to expand our presence in
the Fort Lauderdale area.”
