Jacksonville flyers will be able to choose between the new Fort Lauderdale route options offered by both JetBlue and Breeze.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Frequent travelers between Jacksonville and South Florida will soon have more options that don’t involve rushing to connecting flights.
The Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) announced Thursday that JetBlue is launching nonstop service to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) this summer.
The route will operate year-round, once per day beginning on June 18. The first scheduled flights are scheduled to leave Jacksonville at 9:45 a.m. and arrive at 11:02 a.m.
Less than two weeks later, options expand even more.Â
Breeze Airways announced in February that it would also be offering nonstop flights between Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale each day starting on July 1. The flights differ in exact time, but are all in the evening.
