With just days left until Selection Sunday and March Madness, it’s crunch time in conference tournaments around the country.

Duke is the No. 1 ranked team in the nation, but heads to Charlotte for the ACC tournament with a few question marks after late-season injuries to Caleb Foster and Patrick Ngongba II. Blue Devils coach Jon Scheyer ruled them both out this weekend, which cracks open the door for Virginia, Miami and possibly even North Carolina.

The kicker, of course, is that Duke still has national player of the year frontrunner Cameron Boozer. He’s been a monster this season, averaging 22.7 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.

We’ve got a close one here in Charlotte, as FSU and Duke battle it out in the first half of the ACC tournament quarterfinals. After a slew of first-half lead changes, the Seminoles end with the slim lead after a buzzer-beating layup from Robert McCray V.

Florida State looks good against the No. 1 team in the country, but Duke has plenty left to roll with — Isaiah Evans already has 22 points, and is keeping the Blue Devils in this game so far.

Though Duke pulled ahead early in the half, a slow spot for the Blue Devils left the door open for FSU to eventually take the lead. It’s tight so far here in Charlotte, but the Seminoles hold a slight edge as the half nears a halfway point.

Miami took the lead with 18:44 to play in the second half and hung on for a 78-73 win over Louisville. The Hurricanes, who have not made the NCAA tournament since 2023, now advance to Friday’s ACC semifinal against No. 2 Virginia.

Malik Reneau led the Canes with 24 points and three steals, followed by Tru Washington’s 17. Ernest Udeh Jr. added nine rebounds.

The Hurricanes had 17 points off turnovers, including Shelton Henderson’s game-sealing block and dunk to put away the Cardinals.

12 lead changes in the first half! We’ve got ourselves a game, folks.

The Cardinals enter the first half with a narrow 38-37 lead over the Hurricanes in their attempt to reach the ACC semifinals.

6-foot-7 Louisville guard J’Vonne Hadley leads the field with a 14-point effort through the first half, shooting 71.4% from the field while going 2-of-3 from 3, adding five total rebounds and an assist to his stat line so far.

Miami (FL) forward Shelton Henderson will be a name worth watching in the second half, appearing to roll his ankle late in the first half, attempting to drive to the basket. He remained in the game after hobbling across the court briefly.

Henderson was fouled on the play and remained in the game, missing one of two free throw attempts, currently with four points in the game so far.

After a strong start, where UVA didn’t take its first lead until there were fewer than seven minutes in the first half and a 26-point effort from guard Paul McNeil Jr., the Wolfpack failed to make a comeback, falling to the Cavaliers in the ACC quarterfinals.

The Cavaliers will face the winner of No. 6 Louisville vs. No. 3 Miami in the ACC semifinals on Friday, with tipoff set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN/ESPN2.

It’s been a boat race so far for UVA in the second half, outscoring NC State 22-13 through the first 10 minutes of the half.

While NC State’s production continues to be concentrated between Ven-Allen Lubin (12 points) and Paul McNeil Jr (16 points), UVA is seeing plenty of depth off the bench, with six different players having six-plus points so far in this contest.

Virginia guard Malik Thomas has now logged his seventh game of double-digit points in the past eight outings, tied to lead the team with 10 points in just 13 minutes played.
