Central Florida man arrested for attempting to steal a septic tank

A Marion County man has been arrested after he was caught on camera attempting to steal a septic tank near Highway 40 in Dunnellon on Feb. 27, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. The man, identified as Alfio Nociforo, initially tried to hook the septic tank to his 2013 Toyota Corolla and pull it out of the woods.However, his plan was thwarted when he could only manage to drag the tank onto the pavement before another car arrived.The next day, deputies said Nociforo returned with a U-Haul and was able to push the tank into the truck.Deputies tracked Nociforo to Citrus County and arrested him.
