WKU Softball travels to take on Jacksonville State this weekend in a three-game series.

The Hilltoppers come off an 8-0 run-rule win over Eastern Kentucky. The win marked WKU’s ninth run-rule win of the season.

With the win, the Hilltoppers improved to 19-3 and extended their 14-game win streak. 

WKU has been unstoppable at the plate and in the circle, just one of six teams ranked in the top 25 for both ERA and batting average. Sophomore pitcher Erica Houge leads the Hilltoppers with 43 strikeouts and a 1.73 ERA. 

The bats have been hot for WKU, with seven players hitting over .300. 

Jacksonville State comes off a 4-0 win against Samford on Wednesday, improving to 17-8 on the season.

The Gamecocks are led in the circle by senior Jaliyah Holmes. Holmes is 6-3 this season, earning 25 strikeouts.

Redshirt senior Morgan Nowakowski leads Jacksonville State at the plate, with a .413 batting average. 

Last season, the Hilltoppers defeated the Gamecocks in two of the three games. WKU is 6-7 all-time against Jacksonville State.

First pitch is set for Friday at 6 p.m. and can be streamed on ESPN+.
