A Jacksonville man arrested Friday is accused of sexual coercion, stalking, and harrassing several victims over the internet.

According to Jacksonville Police, Dewayne Scott Chapline, 58, used threats and intimidation to coerce a victim into providing sexually explicit images. Chapline then allegedly used those images to continue threaning the victim and demanding more content.

“This was a complex and disturbing case that required numerous subpoenas, search warrants, and extensive digital forensic analysis to ultimately link the communications to the suspect,” Chief Steven Markasy said in a press release Friday. “I want to commend our investigators for the countless hours they dedicated to this investigation and their commitment to ensuring the victims in this case receive justice.”
