OBITUARY
Christine Callahan, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on February 26, 2026 at the age of 57, after a seven-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was a wonderful and devoted daughter, wife, mother, friend, and mentor.
Christine was born in St. Louis, Missouri, spent several years in Illinois, and moved to Florida at the age of eight. She graduated from Largo High School and went on to study Accounting at Loyola University in New Orleans, where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta.
Professionally, Christine was a Certified Public Accountant who began her career with KPMG, ultimately becoming an Audit Partner. For the past fifteen years, she was an Associate Director with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, where she led US and global inspection teams and served in other leadership roles related to methodology and training.
Christine was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and served as a council member, including as president. She also volunteered with Junior Achievement as a facilitator, mentor and board member, and was active with Boy Scouts of America.
She loved to travel, visiting all 50 states, and five continents. Christine found joy outdoors, experiencing wildlife and hiking, and spending time on the water, where she was most at peace scalloping. Throughout her illness, she continued these pursuits, supported Orlando City as a season ticket holder, pursued her daily step goals, learned Spanish and enjoyed morning walks with her dogs.
Christine was preceded in death by her father, Richard Blom. She is survived by her mother Terri, her husband Owen, and her sons Owen III and Connor.
