TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Due to expected cold night temperatures, overnight cold-weather shelters will open Monday and Tuesday nights in Tallahassee, according to the Big Bend Continuum of Care.
Anyone in need of cold-weather shelters is encouraged to go to any of the locations below that best represent their household composition:
Single Adults (18 and over): The Kearney Center, located at 2650 Municipal WayFamilies (At least 1 adult and child): HOPE Community, located at 2729 West PensacolaYouth (ages 10-17): Capital City Youth Services, located at 2407 Roberts Ave. The hotline number is 850-576-6000.
Those in need of shelter must show up at their specified location anytime between 4 and 8 p.m. for intake.
