The hard-court event was won in 2025 by first-time ATP Tour champion Mensik, who defeated Novak Djokovic in the championship match. The 20-year-old Czech returns to Hard Rock Stadium this year as the No. 13 player in the PIF ATP Rankings.
World No. 1 Alcaraz triumphed in Miami in 2022 and arrives in South Florida holding a 16-1 record for the year, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index. Alcaraz became the youngest man to complete the Career Grand Slam at the Australian Open and then won his 13th ATP 500 title in Doha, before Daniil Medvedev snapped his perfect start to the season in the Indian Wells semi-finals.

On home soil, Top 10 stars Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton will lead the charge for a first American men’s singles champion in Miami since John Isner in 2018.
